You can now use your Hikmicro TE19 Thunder 2.0 and AGM Rattler 19-265 thermal scope in airsoft without having to worry about getting your lens shot out. The titanium mesh has very minimal reduction to the image sharpness.

The protector is made out of 1.1mm thick titanium (⌀ 38.3mm) with black coating which can withstand multiple point blank shots at 1.5J without breaking.

Replace the mesh when it shows visible damage. Under extreme conditions (higher power, heavier BBs, repeated hits on the same spot), 100% resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Includes a mounting ring that uses M41*0.5mm threads and includes an installation tool.

Protector check

How close is too close?

The titanium mesh can take a 1.5 J hit point-blank several times before breaking. Playing at even 3.0 J, it is most likely still safe to use for most engagement distances. Enter BB weight and power output to check what's a safe distance.

  • Not safe at all
  • Might survive a single impact
  • Rated for multiple impacts

How was this calculated?

Red: above 2 J. Yellow: 1.5 to 2 J. Green: 1.5 J or less. This is an estimate for a level shot with the hop-up set flat, at 25 °C and sea level, from 1.5 m above the ground. The model counts air drag and hop-up spin. The distance shown is rounded up. Measure your power with a chronograph, with the hop-up on. The picture is not to scale: short distances are drawn wider.

Replace the mesh when it shows visible damage. Under extreme conditions (higher power, heavier BBs, repeated hits on the same spot), 100% resistance cannot be guaranteed.

This does fit the AGM rattler two

This does fit the AGM rattler two. I am thrilled to have a level of protection over my expensive investment.

Does this also work with the old version of Thunder?

TRIDOS.DESIGN

Unfortunately, we have not been able to test it with the older version of the Thunder. You can send us the pictures and measurements to our support email and we can try to make an educated guess.
