This is a stronger mag release spring made for the AAP-01 / SSP18. Makes the mag release button harder to press accidentally.

Such an improvement

Having been in airsoft for maybe 6 weeks, I bought myself a WE EU17 Gen5 pistol, which I really like.

But one gripe I have with it is that the magazines keep falling out, simply because the mag release spring just isn't firm enough. I took mine out and bent it to try and make it a bit stronger, but it did nothing.

Purely by chance I saw this stronger replacement spring on a Google search result (I think) and as soon as I read about it here on the Tridos website I ordered it.

It arrived this morning and what a difference it makes! I had it fitted in about 10 minutes, but if I'd been more familiar with things I guess it would have taken me under 5 minutes.

The gun feels better, the mag is now held in securely and I'm again impressed by these guys!

Just what I needed

Had issues with my WE G18C Gen 4: the stock magazine release was way too sensitive, dropped a few magazines while drawing my pistol from the holster. This spring definitely has a higher tension and solved the issue. No more magazines on the floor :D. Install is easy, fits without any modification. Not too stiff, but just enough tension to prevent accidental magazine release. Should fit the WE G17 Gen4 without any issues as well.
