AIRBRAKE KIT FOR SSG24 THAT DOESN'T COST AN ARM AND A LEG.

Airbrake pin reduces sound at the expense of some power loss. They work by partially blocking the cylinder nozzle and creating an air cushion that slows down the piston right before impact. 

It is yet un-proven whether the tradeoff is worth it when compared to a weaker spring but at worst - these act as great way to reduce the power down to field limits.

The kit comes with a CNC modified piston head and 5 different length pins:

  • 10.0 mm
  • 13.5 mm
  • 17.0 mm
  • 20.5 mm
  • 24.0 mm

These Gen2 version of the airbrake pins now insert from inside of the piston head. It's less convenient but at least there is absolutely no risk that they could shoot out. Piston head itself is manufactured by Modify and modified by us.

→ When doing any sound tests it's important to measure the sound when standing away 10m or more and shoot towards the camera / sound meter. Any closer and the sound is too saturated to hear / show any differences.

It works great so far

The air brake really works and I’m shooting 40s out of my tac 338

Ich habe den Airbrake Kit getestet und nur den kleinsten verwendet 👍,Er macht meine Sniper leiser und die Leistung wird um 0,25 Joule reduziert, ich wollte die Leistung sowieso reduzieren und es passt, die Materialien zeugen von einer sehr guten Qualität. Prima Trios weiter so mit eurer Innovation.👍👍👍

SWEET AND EASY TO INSTALL

A great product, works like a charm, is not super expensive and really does the job silencing the SSG24. Did some measurements with the different pins, using a M170 spring, the deviations from the spreadsheet are kept ALMOST the same, but not exactly, so bear that in mind if you are using a different spring than the one used for the results there.

I tried it and wow...Tridos have done it again. Easy to install, change and you know it will last. Big change in sound just by the smallest one. Thanks Tridos for helping us out to get the best gun there is!

Will this work in the SSG10 with a wasp piston?

No, it's made for a different platform and piston. WASP piston already comes with airbrakes included.

Fit this airbreak in the ASG Steyr Scout?

The cylinder uses the same piston as SSG24, however, I am not 100% sure that ASG Styer Scout has the same inner diameter nozzle as the SSG24. If it's same or very similar, then this set should work perfectly.
